2011 Visiting Scholars
Hao Ying, Lily is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Government and Public Administration (GPA), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), majoring in Chinese Politics. Her research interest is in church-state relations in contemporary China, focusing on the relations between Chinese Catholic Church including official and underground aspects and the CCP’s religious control.
Lily’s thesis is titled “Real or Misperceived Oppositions? The Catholic Church and the Chinese Communist Party’s Religious Control” for which she visited the Centre for Catholic Studies from August 2011 to July 2012.
